Our client instructed us to manage a complex warehouse refurbishment in Croydon, including extensive alteration works to the interior layout within an 8-week programme. The objectives were to create new facilities and a large, bright functional warehouse space.
Starting with the strip-out process, internally we removed a heavy tenant fit-out inclusive of a two-storey office block, warehouse mezzanine kitchen and WCs, to revert the warehouse back to open plan.
The second stage of the refurbishment was focused on roof works, where we recoated the entire metal roof sheets, carried out a thorough clean of the existing roof lights and relined the gutters.
We also replaced the damaged cladding, installed new entrance and fire-escape doors, and re-decorated the fascias, downpipes, goods door and windows.
Within the warehouse we resprayed the existing roof soffit and wall liner panels and re-decorated the steels, walls and the warehouse floor. We also replaced the high bay lighting. In the ancillary office accommodation, we replaced the suspended ceilings, carpets and M&E installations to suit the new layout.
We completely overhauled the existing WCs with new tiling, ceilings, sanitaryware and IPS panelling.
